was digging through my tackle box in an attempt to reduce it's weight from a hefty 30 pounds to a manageable weight and found a whole pack of muzzy replacement blades from my wheelie bow days. lightning struck "small game points!" took some .38 cases glued them on the end of the shafts, cut a slot with a bandsaw and inserted the blades w/ some epoxy. look like the magnus blunts. shoot well. who says replaceable blade broadheads aren't any good. now i just have to make frinds with someome that still shoots them or a similar type replaceable blade type head and i will have all the worry free if lost small game arrows i can handle.

Cool Pat, a brainstorm!! I think I'll have to rethink my usual replies when the "replaceable blade" topic comes up! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I was talking to a guy at a hunt a few weeks ago that takes 38 casings, adds solder inside to weigh them up, cuts a slot, and inserts a triangle of flat steel to make a blade. Gotta try some for this fall.
