Default Lazy this year

I have not been shooting much this year. I guess I got lazy! I strung the bow up today and shot till my fingers starting get sore. I was off the first few shots but got it dialed in. So who else is being lazy this year. I have got to get my practice in. I have two oppurtunities to hunt this year one in Fredricksburg, TX and one in Arkansas. Hopefully I can get to both and get a deer as well.

I haven't shot nearly as much this summer, but it was due to other things. I get most of my practice in at tournaments, and I wasn't able to shoot at nearly as many this summer. They also motivate me to practice more.

I don't have any big hunts planned for this year...maybe next though.

Don't pass up Fredricksburg bro, it's awesome there. Lots and lots of deer. And good German food too..

well I just picked up another bow today. My brother's boss bought it a flea market. It is an AMF Slim Line 62" 45 Lbs. Its gonna cost me 30.00 but I figure its worth it. It is in good shape. I am going to have to take the sights off of it. Was hoping it was a lighter draw weight but oh well.

I did not shoot a single arrow this summer. I broke two fingers rebuilding an outboard motor. They were on my brace hand, which was good, but still hurt like heck when shooting. I have shot twice since last deer season. Im like you, it took several shoots to get dialed back in. I had to start at ten feet and work my way back to twenty. The second time I shot, I started at twenty and everything was ok. I am going to have to shoot a little each afternoon, because season opens in two weeks.

By the way, are you going to be able to make it down this year for a hunt or two?

Also, how is that osage stick shooting for you?

I use to hunt in the hill country back in the 80s. It was loaded with deer. Not a whole lot of big ones back then (over populated), but from what I have been told, it is excellent now.

Rev would know where the best beer is. lol. Actually, he is right. I use to go to Oct. fest there back in the early 90s. Lots of good times I bearly remember.
