Mark.
Thats the big problem not every one is going to be able to have it during deer season.
Maybe a 3d round if there is no hunting.
I am thinking of a Take Down for ease of shipping andabout 50lb @ 28" that way not too many should be over bowed.
Oh and of course they would have to be a forum regular and not some one signing on to get a free bow
Now if Brad can get those cane arra's[8D]

but you will be taking on the majority of the work. Feel bad for ya. But sure wouldn't mind to shoot a kanga bow.

(I just figured out your handle, rather slow of me)
I would not say your slow

Would anyone object to me shooting a few fish with it? That could add a nice chapter to the bow's journey. We have an adapter with rubber straps to hold a reel on it without hurting the bow.
I have no problem with it being used to shoot a few fish

Wether I get Involved with this or not the follow along Is going to be cool and fun to read!!

I'll try to work this cane in the coming weeks and read up on it .... I don't know how dry it has to get/be or anything. Ultra cool though to get 1/2 dozen arrows matched up to send around with huh ?
You know, it don't have to been just deer hunting .... small game abounds, some people have access to pig hunting (I do) and Arkansas has an Oct 1st thru Feb 15th season ..... some seasons start mid-September, some people go elk hunting last week in August .... I'm sure it could be worked out

Maybe whoever has itshould usetheir own arrows.I'm sure we've all got a couple-three arrows lying around that would shoot well enough out of it.Plus, nobody would have to worry about shipping the arrows with the bow. If you make it a take-down the arrows would be longer than anything else.
Just a thought.

I would like to put my name in for Feb. 2010. I could take Ol Buck and the New Guy or Lady pig hunting in S. Texas for some warm weather. Pics is of Ol Buck in Laredo Tx 2008.

I'd give it a whirl if it will handle my draw length (up to 32", depending on the riser/grip).
so you will have to be the guinea pig
Maybe whoever has itshould usetheir own arrows.

I am going to make a start on the riser tomorrow using 8 different woods

I think I also have the limb woods worked out.
Either Jatoba on the belly with Yellow Heart on the back or Makore on the belly with Yellow Heart on the back either way she is gonna look good

It will most likely be the same shape as the one I just finished or as I have named this model "The Yarra" after a river in Australia

When I get her done and test shot I will put up another post for sign ups and will lay out the ground rules there.
Once all the names are in I will put them into a hat and start drawing them out in order for the pass around and post that so no one gets confused.
Of course there will be the build along while I make it
