I'm assuming that was the statement that got folks riled? One guy's opinion and the whole board, even traditional archery in general, gets the blame? Oh well.......

I think you missed a couple things Chad. And nobody's blaming traditionalarchery for anything. Some of us just took offense to one guy's ridiculous opinions about hunting with a compound. Statements like " a compound isn't even a bow; the limbs don't do anything but hold the cams...". Stupid stuff like that. Someone who has the same mentality the anti-hunters have; "If I don't like it, then you shouldn't do it. Here's my definition of it all. If you don't agree with it, then you're wrong."

Now that I can understand--I'm as passionate about my opinions as most anyone, especially concerning hunting. Still, he is entitled to his opinion, just as you are entitled to disagree with it.

Some folks (I haven't bothered to go back and look) have said things like "I thought this board was better than that" or "I thought traditional archers were beyond that", etc. Not word for word, but you get the drift.

As best I remember, SC said he isn't anti-compound, it's just his opinion...blah, blah, blah. That's the way I feel about crossbows--I'm not anti-crossbow, I just don't feel they should be allowed unrestricted in the regular bow season. If someone wants to use them in the primitive weapons season, I'm all for it.

At any rate, this is just a board for folks to voice their opinion--nothingto get upset about. I know it can be hard to know what the other guy is thinking, but most of the time I'm grinning like a possum when replying to some of the more heated debates--it's entertainment, no more.

I'm smiling too! That's why I come on here. Always interesting to hear what other people say and think. If everyone agreed, life would be boring and we'd get nowhere.
