im not any expert at all on trad bows but im in the same boat as you, im tired of compounds and m tired of competing and hunting w/ them and i got into trad about three years ago. i love it. i started w/ a samick deer slayer 45#. im shooting easton axis shafts but i might try some gold tip trad shafts this summer. good luck and have fun
