Either one will work, but as good as the right string would. The one may have a pretty high brace, the other will require a lot of twisting. I' d try a different shop and get the right string.

If you' re looking at pre-made strings at a shop, they would most likely be endless strings. In that respect, no...they wouldn' t work.
The one for a 55" bow would brace it WAY too high. You' d risk damaging the bow bracing it that far over its recomended hight and then drawing it.
The string for a 58" bow is far too long. Endless strings are not made to be twisted hard enough to shorten them two inches. When you twist a string that hard, you' re running a high risk of breaking it.
Seriously, use nothing but the correct string for your bow.

Forget what I said--listen to JRW. I stay in a " flemish state of mind" when it comes to strings, and don' t know diddley about endless. Sorry about that.
