If your not going to be able to remove the inserts why should it matter what they are held with as long as it's strong enough...why not JB liquid steel? The super glue gel sounds like a good deal...just avoid hitting stumps and rocks.

I epoxyed mine in - never going to remove them .... uh, until I decided to try some 100gr brass inserts to bump my FOC and I Dremel tooled 1/2 dozen last night, 4 came out with only cutting 1/2" of shaft off, the other 2 I don't have any idea how I'm going to get them out - might not and that my friend is a good reason to not do it !

Rangeball . you commented on a file that Dr. Ashby swore was the best.
Will you please tell me what file it was, if you remember the brand and particulars?

Changeling

I tried sending you a PM but I'm not sure if it is working correctly on my end, did you get it?

Thank you for the link, I have always used Zwickey Eskimo heads and sharpened them with a file and a fine stone after the file work, they are actually not real hard ( mine are near 20 years old) witch is not bad as I think they are perfect.

What does age matter as long as you like them and they keep working for you! Sorta like my oldest bow,it's a 03 Bowtech. Not something to shoot alot but the thing still has many miles left if I can concentrate while shooting it!
