Yep, they were the full length 65-70s. Id be more than happy to send some your way, except I have already cut them to length, put in the inserts, tuned them to the bow and fletched them all. Ill be using them this Sat. on opening day.;)

Edited to add- I don't plan to drill the insert out, rather Russ told me of a trick using the blunt end of a slightly smaller than ID of the shaft drill bit. Take the nock off, slip in the drill bit, then sling it around, hoping it knocks the insert out.

Finally got a chance to try the drill bit, er... bit.

Went in the garage, pulled the nock, inserted the bit, took a good grip and whip SMACK. Checked the insert, nothing. Did this a few more times, checked the insert, nothing. Repeated up to about 20 times, nothing. Was going to give up, but decided I would quit at 30 tries. Somewhere about the 28th time there was the normal whip sound then SMACKCLANG!!! Scared the crap outa me...

Insert and bit both removed post haste and slammed into my closed garage door. I was able to recover both. Shaft is undamaged, but I needed new undergarments :)

Now all I have to do is find a way to remove the adhesive layer from within the shaft so the new brass inserts will fit. They fit well in the clean nock end, so at least I know I ordered the right ones. Oh, and get two more arrows from Walmart and repeat.

I've used the heat method on some beman's to get the factory insert out! I was cutting them down anyhow but it worked.If the superglue will get brittle then bouncing the shaft on a old f/p then hitting them with heat may help them pull.

Looking at the insert and inside of the shaft, it sure looks like they install them with superglue. Chalky white residue.

Lucky for me.

Anyone have any ideas what I can use to clean the residue from the inside of the shaft?

Try Gorilla Glue to install the inserts. WalMart sells it. Seems to be similar to Power Bond. Dip one of the components in water apply glue to the other and assemble. Let it set up over night. Too loosen it's grip dip the end of the shaft in HOT water. Works good. Just a side note as it cures it expands slightly.

You can break the bond of GG with hot water? I did not know that... I'd planned to ask about GG as an adhesive but figured it wouldn't be removal friendly.
