What is the BEST thing to clean and keep up an old bow, such as a BearKodiak Magnum. Is there any way to take out minor scratches and smudges? Also, I have an old bow I covered in camo tape and need to know how to remove the glue residue without harming the finish. the bow is around 25 years old and the Bear is 30.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wanted to let ya'll know that the "Goo Gone" worked well at removing glue residue without adverse effects on my bows finish! I would still like to know how to get small scratches and smudges out of the finish.

To Hunteron60! I would think you could use fine steel wool to take out some of the scratches and then spray the bow with clear plasticote or clear lacquer. Back in the day, I just sprayed my bows with flat paints for hunting. The paint would wipe right off with paint thinner. Good luck. Tox

Thanks for the tips! I generally don't worry about scratches and such on my bows, as they helpreinforce memories. When you go to sell one though, people don't seem to want my memories!
THANKS again.
