Your riser/handle section will have laminations both towards the shooter and perpendicular?
Mark.

Another way to look at it vertical and horizontal.

Never seen that done before.
Me neither thats why I decided to do it
Should be enormously strong. Thats good. That lepardwood is good looking stuff. Good you can show it off.

Yes it is mate, I was throughly impressed with how it turned out as an overlay on Greg's bow.

Just finished cutting out the rough riser shape.

From the side

From the back of the riser.

From the front.

Now there will probably be 4 hours or so of sanding to sand down to the lines and make sure everything is nice and square

Oh crap mate give me a chance will ya

I have been working on the form for the limbs and making a mock up of the riser out of pine.

Only ordered the lams for the limbs on Monday so it will be another week before they get here

Going to go with Cocobolo on the front and Walnut on the back of the limbs I am hoping they look good on "Marks Rainbow" [8D]

Hey, don't complain to me, Kent and you are the ones setting the pace. He probably has built 5 bows in the last few days.

I took 30 scrapes off each limb last night on my yew ELB. And then got into watching some sync diving in the olympics last night. Not that it interested me, but more I was amazed it was actually a sport.

Well that was not very nice of him[8D]

Here is the pine mock up of the riser.
I will have to wait till I get the limbs made before I go any further.
