Need some Idea's
#1
Ok guys and gals.
I need some Ideas for limb colors for this riser I just finished doing a rough cut out on.
The woods in the riser are Walnut and Maple.
I do know that when I am finished this bow it is going to look real snazzy, might not shoot worth a crap tho
Art mentioned Zebrawood on the front and Yellow Heart on the back.
So lets see what else we can come up with.

I'm not sure if you are talking about venners or not.
But you could use the same woods that you used for the riser for the limbs or maybe go with tiger stripe, birdseye, curly or quilted maple.
Some day I may get an all black walnut recurve made.

I was thinking Paduk for the limbfront veneerbut Art said that might be a little too orange.
Don't really want to do the limb veneers the same as the riser.

Here is a bow made with cherry maple hickory and walnut. Its horizontal not vertical. Another wood that would look real cool would be jabota. it would look like a swirled mix of walnut and maple. Kinda like Zebra wood with a swirl look.
