Maybe Chad can set up a secret forum like black widows
. As an initiation you have to, on video, throw someones black widow into a roaring fire, or worse show a score card that smokes theirs

Bill,
Truth be known, if I were Ken Beck I' d have set it up the same way. His web site is there to sell his bows. If he set up a message board and allowed the type of " Widow-bashing" that is a frequent part of other web sites, that wouldn' t be very condusive for sales.

I read the " Rules" , there. Seems fine to me. If I had a Black Widow I' d be there most every day. I enjoy this message board.
Where is this place? I just noticed y' all are an hour behind me.

Bill:
You always say that your BW bashing is toungue and cheek yet seem obsessed in criticizing them and their owners on every forum you participate in.
Many people come to this forum to escape that very thing. Do I own a
Black Widow? Nope. Do I plan on purchasing one? Nope. As a matter of fact I own 2 CM' s and am considering a third.
I for one, am just aksing that you refrain from bringing that garbage here.

JRW,
Truth be know, BW bashing is as much a result of the elitism of BW owners and their own bashing of any other manufacturer' s bow as it is people bashing BW just for grins. I have seen many a thread where a person asks about a particular type of bow and someone will post, trash it and then tack on " get a real bow, but a BW."
And yes, is is a wise marketing scheme on Ken' s part, but frankly I think it has very little to do with BW bashing. He may be limiting participation to avoid confrontations on his forum, but I think the purpose of his forum is pure and simply SALES.
People talking about BWs on forums are a positive for Ken whether the comments are perceived to be positive or negative. He gets much more marketing in the threads than anyone, other than maybe OL since he brought out the ACS. I just think it is comical to read some of the comments by the BW owners.
They can dish it out, but they can' t take it when it is thrown back at them. And now they are about to turn their shorts yellow because they have an elite place where they can go and talk by themselves. I have gone in a couple of times and looked at the forum. It is rather vanilla and I predict it won' t last very long.

GEREP,
I have made very few posts on BW topics. I did start one thread regarding " BWs Custom Bows?" . And I have also participated with comments on the BW Forum thread.
Unless Chad tells me I am way out of line, I will exercise the liberty to ask a question about the silly " I love you, you love me fest" known as the BW Forum. As I noted in my comments to Jason above, much of the negative comments that come BWs way are the direct result of the owners of BW bows slamming other bows and in essence, if not directly, looking down their elitist noses as if to say, " You poor fella you can' t afford a real bow, a BW." Maybe you are confusing me with another Bill who posts many, many more comments than I do and says they are tongue in cheek, Bill Tait.
