Default Who hunts trad out of a treestand?

I'm going to hunt out of a treestand at about 12'.

Question for those who do this.....

How do you keep your arrow on your shelf (I shoot a longbow)?.....and what do you do with your bow while you're sitting down? Bow hook? Hold it?

I use a bow hook and have one of those little rubber things on that holds an arrow in place until I draw

I hang my bow in the tree on a limb I've cut off or I'll screw a regular tree peg in where I want the bow to hang. As far as an arrow holder I use a Sta-Jac. Its a rubber thing that you attach to the outside of the riser on your bow. When you pull your bow back it lets go of the arrow nice and quite if set up right.

Unless I'm doing something, I just hold it.

To hang my bow, I use "Y" shaped hooks I buy at the hardware store. They screw into the tree andare vinyl coated. They're about $1 apiece. Ialso use one of those Sta-Jac's stuck to the riser with double-sided tape.

I just lay the bow across my lap.

I just laid it on my lap. But probably for next year I'll get some thing to hang it on and maybe check out those little arrow holders.

I hold the bow with the bottom nock sitting on my boot and my index finger on the arrow--always ready for the unexpected shot

practice how you hunt

if you practice from the ground, hunting from a treestand might jack you up
