I got another bow!
What the hell is wrong with me?
I just picked up a sweet little Morrison "Shawnee" take down with a "Leadwood" A riser and stained bamboo B limbs.
It's only 56" long and 50# @ 28".
I've been quietly wanting a short take down recurve for an upcoming Pronghorn antelope trip in WY and this one might just fit the bill nicely.
I don't care if it stacks a little bit at 30" , I just need to be accurate with it out of a blind for antelope and possibly turkeys.
Pics to follow shortly.
Somebody shoot me before I strike again.

Any of you Morrison fans know if I'm going to be endangering myself or the bow horsing that thing back to 30"?
Bob's website says that that riser limb configuration has a maximum "comfortable" draw length of 27". LOL
I'm heading into a place where she wasn't intended to go. [:-]
Seriously there's no way I can pop th elimbs on this thing at 30" is there? That chart is just to show where it's going to feel good and will start to stack beyond?
I don't care if it stacks right at my draw length I just don't want to damage the thing or eat a chunk of limb tip.
I can shoot my buddy's 54" Bear Kodiak Mag at 55# @ 28" pretty comfortably and accurately with no issues and its an older vintage Non FF model. I can't picture doing any harm to this one........but there's no harm in asking?

Way to go Matt! I'm looking forward to adding another Longbow or Recurve to ranks but I have to get something for the Boy first! Congrats on a great looking bow!

Call Bob and talk to him.
My thoughts are you will be getting some finger pinch at 30".
Probably start stacking by 29".
Safety should not be a concern - comfortwill be.
60" will fit you a lot better and still be very shootable out a blind with a little practice.
