My selfbow is braced at about 7 1/4" and I have a 10 strand Dynaflight '97 string (18 strands in the loops) on it--really calmed it down. I couldn't shoot it with a dacron string--it just flat hurt.
Yep. D-97 or such does great at cutting down shock and doesn't hurt selfbowsat all-not that I've ever noticed anyway. It'll make the bow need arrows spined about 5 pounds stiffer too, soit might help you out a bit in that way also.
I figured with the elkhorn tips, D97 wouldn't hurt too much. Might have to give you an order Chad. Thanks for the advise.
