Default Donkeys

The land ownerof my lease let his 2 donkeys go in the area I am hunting. I dont mind them being around much. I haven't seen any deer movement since the donkeys came back. Also the stupid donkeys are eating all my corn and soybean up. My question is with the presence of donkeys scare the deer away. I have never hunted where donkeys were kept. I know cows and deer dont seem to mind one another.Oh Well not much I can do I guess.

I don't know from experience, but I've heard of folks being able to ride up very close to deer on horses and mules--I doubt the donkeys bother the deer much, but they will probably guard the food.

Donkeys are frequently used to keep predators away from sheep, cattle etc so I can't see them bothering deer. Deer are related to cattle (ungulates).

Just yesterday morning I saw donkey, lama's, pony and deer all together in a field. I mean they wasn't all together, but seemed to care less about each other. I was kinda surprised. I figured the lamas would freak out with thier babies.

Depends on the deer's political orientation, I guess. If they're ultra conservative, they probably won't be found anywhere near a donkey.

Awright, I know. It's lame... Where's my pills?

Well he has got to do something they are killing me on my corn. I use a 60/40 mix of roasted soy bean and corn. At 8.95 a bag they are killing me. lOl Maybe its the weather or the rut but deer movement on my lease has vanished. I have tracks around the tank but thats all I can find. I even broke down and took my rifle a couple times in case the opportunity of a longer shot happened. I got snorted at at both my ladder stands and then the donkeys were released. Since the last sighting I have not seen a single deer.
