Son started his first archery league
Hey all just thought I would share my sons first archery league night with you. My brother and father in-law took him to a league for the younger kids (he is six). The final result was two bullseyes and LOTS O'FUN! The wife said he had been counting down the days to this day. I cannot wait to get back home and spend some time with the family.

Shoot straight, aim well,
and tell tall tales to
good friends.
P.S.
There were 36 kids under 11 years old at the shoot. They shoot from 10 yards and under. The total points you can get are 100 and my son shot a 55. He recieved compliments from the older shooters on how well he shot his stick bow, he was one of the few who shoot instinctive. I AM AS PROUD AS A PEACOCK IN THE SPRING! (the spring meaning I have been away from the wife for way to long<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>)
Lets pass the spirit along to our
children. Traditional archery is
on the rise and they will be the
future.
God bless you all.

RE: Son started his first archery league
That is a shame CT. A local archery club (mid-Michigan bowmen) have a league just for the young. The club offers it free to the kids and there are coaches assigned to the kids besides dad and grandpa. I plan on becoming a member when I return home.
