Default Arrow Dynamics Traditional arrows ????

Just traded a guy for a dozen 31" Arrow Dynamics - Tradional arrows.Kind of odd looking tapered shafts. Plan on putting on 5" feathers. I'll be shooting them out of my Crusader 64" and Sonoran 65" bows 62# @ 30". Any one have any thoughts on these arrows?. Any pounts of concern or tips before I glue them up and start shooting?

Per the bowjackson arrow charts, with a 125 grain head and 3 5" feathers, should weigh about 502 grains.

Default RE: Arrow Dynamics Traditional arrows ????

cant help ya with them, but I can tell ya I did 2 rounds with a dozen shafts and managed to rip the back end off of an arra with someone else's bow.

I do believe like most they recommend cleaning out the inside (I used my 7mm bore brush to do this), and use AAE epoxy to glue in the inserts.

I do however have one tip for carbon folks. Some of yall want to fine tune your sets ups but glueing with the epoxy wont allow this without ruinging the shaft to get it out. Find a soft bale to shoot at. Put in a field point into the insert before gluing. Heat up the tip to get the hot melt just soft enuf to spread on the insert and insert the insert to the shaft. Now, if that arrow doesnt fly right and you did the right thing and left it long here is how to get it out. Heat the tip up, little bits at a time. If you are patient you can get the insert out without doing ANY damage to the shaft. Cut it in 1/4" increments just like alums and re insert the insert and start all over till the shaft is flying perfect! It wont work on very dense targets but it will on burlap and plastic wrap style targets. Something you can do to paper tune at home and have them lil devils flying like darts. I only did this one 3 arrows, the rest I left alone in case I screwed up. Once you get the length down, then go ahead and use the epoxy to glue the inserts up.

just something to chew on next time you have mid "winter" blues......
