I'm sorry about that Dick but at every membership meeting it was voted down to a man. We do make exceptions to kids 16 and under. I have a friend Lou Becker that is making a selfbow for me so I can shoot at Marshall Michigan where they don't allow my glass Howard Hill longbows there. When in Rome do as the Romans do they say. Michigan Traditional Bowhunters is actually an offshoot from us that did not care for that rule but it is a matter of principle with us. When we compete it is not for points or money but most of us just like to get out and have some friendly competition with our longbows and wood arrows. It is our tradition and one of the reasons I am on the Council is that I have been a strong supporter of those principles. If your friends would like to borrow a longbow I can see what I can do if you would like for I think that some nice ones are availible for use.

I brought this up so I wouldn't have to type so much on the other traditional shoots thread. I also am kicking around a trip to West Virginia Appalacian or Cloverdale but I'm not sure I can swing both this year. We have a great kids shoot with the dinasaur Reinhart targets so this is a good place to bring your family.

That would be great--get to meet you both at the same time! Unfortunately this trip will be bussiness instead of pleasure, but I plan on shooting early and visiting in the evenings. I plan on having extra chairs at the table if you want to hang out though!
