Default String

Hey fellas where does everyone get their strings, I am in dire need of a new string the D-97 I have is not going to last much longer( I snagged it on something andtore a strand)and hunting season is in two weeks I hate for it to go right when I am full draw on a bear. I don't want to bother chad right now with what he is dealing with in his personally life but I no idea where to go that has a fast turn around. Thanks

I make my own strings, but Kustom King and 3Rivers have both given me good turnaround on other supplies.

One of the best things I ever did was learn how to make my own strings

There are some excellant strings out there, but I would recommend you learn to make your own as well. You can find plans for both flemish and endless string jigs with a google search. I still use dacron for mine, but I guess there are tons of other materials available for superior strings.

Dude I just use shoe laces and stuff, it doesn't really matter what the bowstring is sometimes, my bow still shoots good.

Shoestrings will not match up to todays highend recurves and longbows. It may work for your 30 pound lil' indian bow, but doubt it will work on any other.

I make most of mine, but Chad AKA LBR at recurves.com makes an awsome string.
