Limb vibrations???
#1
well guys i got a Check-Mate Falcon in the Mail about 10 days ago.....still getting to knowher, ive shot her 3 times...
the bow is Shock free....
keep in mind im being picky, there is vibration felt in the handthat i just cant get rid of....keep in mind that its not horrible but its a resonation that i cant seem to get rid of...
I put 2pairs of scilencers on the string.
padded/served the the string with some poly yarn where it makes contact with the limb(poorby's version ofBow Hush or whatever they call it)
other bows ive had this always gave thebow a dull thud to after doing and got rid ofany vibration in the hand...but with this bow i cant get that vibration out.
i have my bow braced when i shot yesterday at 83/16"
but i did go up to 8 3/4 and it was still the same.
it does this when i pull the stringback an inch and just pluck it as well as when shooting arrows. its not broke or a vibration ofpoor workmanship...im wondering if itsjust theCharactoristic of the Falcon or thewood used to construct the bow(Cocobolo and Maple riser with Maple limbs under clear glass...the wood does have a nicering to it when i knock on the riser with my knuckle)...
or maybee its because ive always used Dacron Stringsand am now using D-97.... this one just has a funny Resonation/ring to it i cant get rid of....any suggestions.
if i pinch the limb between my forefinger and thumb and pluck the stringthe vibration felt goes away and the bow has a very dull thud to it...should i get limbsavers for it???
help me out guys...anyone experience this with a bow before
i'll post pics by the end of the week.

I don't know about the falcon but I have a King's Pawn. It was finicky though until I found the sweet spot and correct arrow combination. I also have one set of string leeches, bow hushes and some mole skin (where the string slaps) on the bow.
Keep experimenting with the brace and arrow combinations, I'm sure you will find where it needs to be. I believe my brace came out to 8".
Mine is pretty much vibration/noise/shockfree.
