Dumb mistake -or- How to make your son happy
I finally got my arrows bare shafted tuned and refletched with nice looking white feathers. Then yesterday Iwas shooting really great at the bag target and thought "Lets fling some at my 3-D deer target". I grabbed it out of the shed and, in hast, just leaned it up against the bag. Thwap...Thwapp...2 good shots...Thwap...three goo....[]
The deer fell forward and snapped my 3 "tuned up" arrows right off....[:@]
Needless to say, my son was grinning from ear to ear when I presented him with 3 "brand new" arrows cut down for him that look just like Dads

Sounds good, but....
Areyour cut down arrows spined OK forhis bow? I have seen way overspined arrows that can actually be dangerous to shoot (even with field points).

HEHE... I've done the same thing many times. Youthink I would learn already. My favorite tapered poplar arrows that fly better than any other arrow I've ever made. Smacked a standing bear in the 12 ring. Beautiful shot. While I was walking to the target, it just fell over and snapped it in half.
