RE: Longbow... wood or aluminum?
Wood, off the shelf. I started using wood arrows to compete (several years ago, most all tournaments required wood arrows for the longbow class--some still do). Now I just like them. I shoot off a shelf to keep it simple and consistent.

RE: Longbow... wood or aluminum?
ORIGINAL: JimPic ORIGINAL: bigcountry I have never used wieght tubes. how do you install them?I guess you glue them in at a location where your desired FOC is? I wouldn't mind to try some of the carbons classics with the fake wood grain but I need over 530gr total wieght. |
RE: Longbow... wood or aluminum?
Thanks guys. Do any of you use your hand as the arrow rest?

RE: Longbow... wood or aluminum?
The weight tubes are like long straws that slide into the shaft. The red is the 2gr/inch and the yellow is the 3gr/inch.They won't noticeably affect spine. With a 3gr tube and a 100gr brass insert,I can get a Goldtip over 565gr w/125gr point-plenty if thump.
