Default String ?

I have a Saulk Trail recurve 50@28. when I pull back the string the top of the string comes off the track, but not all the way. When I shoot the bow it stays on the track and every thing seems fine. The lims look straight. The bow is only 3years old and has not have many arrows shot through it.

If the limbs aren't twisted, you're probably torqueing the bow when drawing. You should be drawing straight back from the centerline of the riser to your anchor. If you're drawing a little off to one side or the other,or not drawing back in a straight line with the riser--the limb is gonna torque off to that side.If you grab the limb-especially when strung, you can twist it from side to side very easlily--a longbow won't torque like that. That's one of the reasons I think a longbow is a more forgiving bow to shoot.
