Default Chek-mate Brace Heights?

Alright here goes, I am trying to find the correct brace height for a 60" Check-mate Hunter T/D. The bow draws 50lbs @ 28". I think the string I have on it might be too long because the brace height is 6 1/2"s. It just seems low for a recurve, any help would be appreciated.

Try twisting the string to make it shorter.A flemish string can be twisted

The brace on those generally runs from 7.5" to 8.5"--a hair more or less won't hurt. The brace can vary some depending on how it feels, the type material, your preferances, etc.

The string you have is too long. The 60" should get a string about 57" long.
