Hello all, started shooting a recurve this year back in feb and i love it, havent touched my compound since. i'am right handed and was just wondering if it makes a difference if you shoot left or right helical. Thanks for any responses.

JimPic is correct. Doesn't matter. I found Left Wing to be less costly than Right Wing feathers. Heard all kinds of theories on why this is from dealers thru the years - some say its b/c of the factory method of how the turkey's are hung when slaughtered. Can't say for sure. Just be sure ALL your arrows in your bunch have the same.

In Theory - A Right Helical arrow used on Right-Handed bow will spin 'into' the bow's sight window. However, slow motion photography by Easton that I have seen in the past shows that the helical flethcing on an arrow doesn't even begin to start imparting a spin on the arrow until the arrow is cleared from the bow - and then some. In any case I have always bought Left Wing due to the lower cost!

I tried both on my longbow, and had some flight issues (for some reason) with right and no flight issues with left. I didn't spend too much time on it. I was reading "become the arrow" by fergonson, and he recommended left helical for right handed shooters causesometimes you get feather cuts with right. So left helical it is.
