Default need help

I just received my Ben Pearson Javelina I bought off of ebay. The bow is in great shape but doesn't have a string. It's a 66 inch bow I was wandering if anyone has a similar bow and knows the string lenghth. I appreciate any help I can get.

Talk to LBR (Chad) on here, he'll set you up...
It should be about a 62" string...
Good Luck!

Typically, recurve strings are 4" shorter than the amo length. 62" would be about right.

Although AMO states all bow strings are to be 3" shorter than the AMO, most of the older recurves work better with a string 4" shorter.

For the Javalina, I'd go with a 62" string, dacron ONLY (B-500 or B-50). Strand count depends on the draw weight. If it's [email protected], I'd go with 10 strands. For 36-45, 12 strands, and 45-60 14 strands. Above [email protected], 16 strands (although I've never seen a Javalina that was even [email protected]).
