Although AMO states all bow strings are to be 3" shorter than the AMO, most of the older recurves work better with a string 4" shorter.

For the Javalina, I'd go with a 62" string, dacron ONLY (B-500 or B-50). Strand count depends on the draw weight. If it's 20-35@28, I'd go with 10 strands. For 36-45, 12 strands, and 45-60 14 strands. Above 60@28, 16 strands (although I've never seen a Javalina that was even 60@28).
