My favorites when it comes to tabs are the red and black Black Widow tab and the NEET PFT with the felt spacer. Superleather face on both. Never will use another hair-faced tab. Doesn't take long for the hair to start wearing off and cause the release to get inconsistent.

I make my own(custom)Cardovan tabs.

I use Neet cordovan tabs.

I use a homemade imatation of the cavalier tabs.

I have not used tabs for a while now, but when I did, I liked the black widow calf hair tab.
