Default Well no deer for the bow

My season ended on the jan 1st, I managed to get up at 10am and get into the woods for my season ending hunt. I ended up just falling asleep in the snow. I didnt see any deer, but had a red squirrle drop a pine cone on my head. Tell nextfall (I just put in for a spring turky tag, wish me luck).

Is anyone still at it? Do the deer in your areas still have antlers, in my area they start to loose them in December. If anyone is still at it good luck and happy hunting, I will be onthe tracks of rabbitstell March 31 (I think that is when the season is over)

Sorry to hear it man...
We still have untill Jan. 31, then, like you, I'll be after small critters. Our small game season (squirrel atleast) runs until Feb. 28th

About the buck loosing thier antlers...I couldn't tell you...the last buck I saw was a little 5pt I killed in November...We have WAY to many does...

Better luck next year...
(But good luck with the bunnies)

No deer for me either, so don't feel too bad. I quit mid-December because I didn't see anything at all. Also, I didn't know it at the time but the guy had posted the land the last time I went out. I didn't notice the sign because it was dark out but oh well. Until next year.

I did get one with the gun, and my old mag got one also,so we are still eating good. I just worked so hard at it with the bow, but thats why I love it. If I wanted to kill one every time outI would just go to a farm buy a cow and shoot it.

Yeah, I'm not too terribly disappointed that I didn't get any deer for the year. My friend got an excess amount of deer meat this season so he's making some deer sausages and jerky for me so I'll still get to eat some.
