Default Selway Quivers

Thinking about shooting with a quiver on my recurve for the first time. How are the Selway quivers? Is the slide on model or the quick detach modelthe best? Are they worth the money? Are there any other good recurve quivers out there? Thanks in advance!

I have no experience with any bow mounted quivers for trad bows, but I'm about to order a Great Northern Boa. It get's rave reviews, and I like the fact that the attachment system doesn't lock me into longbow/recurve, since it will work for either.

My Selway is great. The quiver I have is specified for a recurve, but it fits just as snug on myBear or Windstorm Longbows. I love it...

Im buying another one for my Martin Curve tommorow...

Good luck...

I started with a hip quiver but after a few trips into the thick stuff I gave it up and went with a selway slide on for my recurve and love it. My main concerns with it before I tried it were that it would add extra unwanted weight but I actually like the added weight. I was also concerned with it being loose, but infact it is very snug with no play at all, and the leather traditional style is very sharp. So I guess what I am saying is get it you won't be upset with it.

I have the bolt on ...very nice, no problems. My son has the slip on, equally as nice. Solid construction and fit. Good groups! Tony!

I don't like the feel of a quiver on my bow--makes it feel out of balance to me. I've tried a Selway 2 or 3 times, just can't get used to it. If I get another bow quiver, it will be one I can take off when I get to my stand/blind, such as the Thunderhorn or Great Northern.

I've shot with the Selways for years. If you think you want to take it off then go with the detachable model. Gordy builds a great quiver and mine have taken a beating over the years. I'm sure there's others that work too but these stay put and are quiet.
