I started with a hip quiver but after a few trips into the thick stuff I gave it up and went with a selway slide on for my recurve and love it. My main concerns with it before I tried it were that it would add extra unwanted weight but I actually like the added weight. I was also concerned with it being loose, but infact it is very snug with no play at all, and the leather traditional style is very sharp. So I guess what I am saying is get it you won't be upset with it.
