My buddy and I had a day like that last year. Only the bucks around here don't grow too big.

BobCo, If that is an 8 ft. bed on the truck I think you did really good! Looks like a couple of big bodied mature bucks.

Nice deer!! You really put it all together to take a buck like that! I shot over 2 bucks this weekend. When I found my arrow from the first one it was stuck in the ground in a place that should have taken his lungs out. These Okie deer want to duck when they hear my bowstring. Did you aim low or is there some technique you use to get the job done when the deer want to duck your arrows?

All you can do is make your bow as quiet as possible, then aim for the heart and hope to still get high lungs or spine if/when they duck. I don't believe in aiming low because, if you do, that'll be the one time they just stand there and let the arrow zip underneath 'em.
