RE: What a hunt!

Thanks Matt/Pa! Sorry about no bows in the pictures . It was getting hot so we had stuck our gear in the shade . I forgot my camera at home or I would have taken pictures before the deer were loaded ;).
I was using a 1967 Red Wing Hunter 51lbs.@28 with a 530 grain carbon arrow. My friend Stan was shooting a Browning Rage twin cam compound 65lbs.@28 about a 400 grain carbon arrow.
It is my first recurve buck.

Since I haven't seen a deer closer than 60 yards yet this season, I'm suitably jealous. ;)Congratulations!

RE: What a hunt!

Thanks LBR, The compound bow will not even get out of the case this hunting season:D. I will even take a recurve when I hunt axis deer in January.
You did sell me a good first bow to get started on so I gotta give credit where it is due;).
I'm was real lucky Arthur P. Stan is a smoker. He puffs on a cigarette right until we get out of the truck to walk to out treeblinds[:'(] We both saw bucks fighting so they are definately wanting to rut. When the next good cold front comes through you should see alot more action. Thanks for the help you have given me on this forum, it made learning to shoot and set up my bow easier!
