Default Thumb and Pinky Placement

I was just wondering how/where you guys place your pinky and thumb at your anchor. I knowa lot of people feel that you should not think about it and just let it happen, but I guess I'm just curious.

I used to shoot with my thumb tucked inside my hand but realized that I have to put some muscle tension on my palm to do so. Also, it seems like when at full draw, my second jointfrom the tip of my thumb(which is place against my jaw bone) and palm (my palms are pretty large) was forcingmy handtoo far away from my face.About two weeks ago, I started shooting with my thumb just resting on the top of my first finger. The tension was completely gone, and the arow seems closer to my face at full draw. I'm getting a cleaner release and it just feels better.

As far as my pinky, I pretty much shoot with it straight/cupped with the rest of my fingersinsteadinstead ofcurled behind the string. If I curl it, my third finger wants to followand puts additional tension on the string, which I don't want.

I use my thumb to anchor under my ear lobe and pinky just sticks out straight I think....... I basically adopted Rick Welch's anchor. It seems to work pretty well for me.

I never really thought about it, but I think you just hit on why I prefer an index finger anchor over the middle finger anchor. With the index finger anchor, my thumb is relaxed into my palm and just nestles up underneath my lower jaw. Using a middle finger anchor, it's crammed into my jaw.

Don't know what I do with my pinkie. I totally ignore the poor thing. Guess I'm gonna have to get it a ring or something so it won't feel so neglected.[8D]

I don't think about my pinky--it just sits there I reckon. My thumb is pressed against my cheek, just under my jawbone. Forefinger is on a tooth, middle finger in the corner of my mouth. At least when I do it right that's where they are.

My index finger in the corner of my mouth and the thumb lies under my jaw bone. As for the pinky it just seem to disappear. Am I deformed or what?
