Mr. Hill's Tembo
#1
just watched "Tembo" lastnight and what I saw wasn't good. In one part Hill is hunting a Big cat and when it gets hit by the arrow you can see a rope or chain move thou the grass.. Talk about a canned hunt..

Whole different time and attitude back then. Mr. Hill wasn't doing a hunting video, he was making a movie for entertainment. I don't know, but I've heard a few stories about how some of the scenes for that movie were set up--but that's what had to be done to get the movie shot--no computerized special effects back then.
Morals and ethics with the bow were still being established--"modern" archery was still pretty young, and the viability of the bow and arrow as a hunting weapon was still being established. I wouldn't call shooting a cat tied to a leash a hunt, but I don't think Mr. Hill would have either.
Just take it for what it is--entertainment--and enjoy the opportunity to see one of the greatest marksmen in archery history in action.

I know it was for entertainment, but for some reason I was thinking it was more of a hunting show... I didn't mean to make it sound like I was putting him down. He was a great Archer.
