what are you gonna be shooting your loads from? If its a SKS or AK you might slug your bore to find out exactly what diameter of bullet to use depending on your bore diameter this may limit what bullets you can use and also may hinder accuracy. I load for a Yugo sks which is right on the money for a .310" dia bullet but my buddy has a norinco (chinese) that slugged .311" dia so hes using speer hot cor 150 grain .311 dia in his sks in mine im using speer hot cor .310" dia bullets and cant find them in anything heavier than 123 grain.

i hope you mean accurate loads
i have 2
the first works well in my FR encore 24"
i use a bullet made by hornady that a little hard to get ,you can only get it from Graff&son . the hornady number is 3142 its a 123 gr V-MAX
the only powder that works in that gun is accurate 2460

the other load is for my AR 15
using the same bullet and 31.5 gr of H335 2.283 OA

i do have one more load that for my encore pistol 8" barrel using a sierra .308 125gr FNHP ,H4198 powder i don't even want to tell you how much powder lets just say its very hot. as fare a accuracy gos it will but 5 rounds in a 2 inch group at 200 yd, no joke i have witness

those are a good lookin gun they have a very european style to them. being a commercial production gun it will likely be a .310" dia bore. I dont really have a pet load where I only shoot 7.62x39 through my sks and accuracy doesnt really get any better than about 3 inch groups at 100 yards. But I do highly recommend the speer hot cor as good as it does terminal ballistically speaking on 200+ pound ferrel hogs which the bullet has no problem making a complete pass through on lung shots or completely shattering shoulder bones on a shoulder hit Id imagine they would work equally as well on deer.

YES!! I use 31.5 grains of H335 with a Sierra 150-grain .308" diameter flatbase spitzer in my SKS's and CZ 527 carbine. Plus, it is VERY accurate, even in .311" bores. V = 2300 FPS @ 10' from the muzzle......

Warning!! This load is OVER MAX in several manuals, but has always worked well for me in all the 7.62X39mm rifles I've shot it in, including a Ruger Mini-30! Work up slowly, if you try it.

first thing to do is call the manufacture , they no dout know what it is .
if it is .308 ,TC says don't worry about it.

I have found that .308" bullets shoot very well out of SOME nominally .311"-.314" groove-diameter bores. For example, a friend of mine had a British Jungle carbine (No. 5) in .303 British, and we were able to develop a load for it using the Sierra .30-cal. 200-grain PSPBT bullet that shot into 1" at 100 yards. Likewise, I have a 7.65mm M1909 Argentine Mauser that is extremely accurate with those same 200-grainers, both Sierra and Nosler Partitions. I miked the bullets I pulled from some Argentine military ammo-they weighed185-grains, and were .314" in diameter. My rifle will shoot them safely, but they arenot nearly as accurate as the .308" bullets in that rifle.

This 7.65X53mm group was shot with .308" bullets, both Nosler Partitions and Sierras, same powder charge.....

Try 24grs. of Win 748 in Win cases and LRP under Win 125gr SP's[.310 dia.]COAL2.190" and these also shot well in my Chinese SKS old screw in barrel ,blade bayonet.150gr [.308 dia]21.5grs of IMR 4198,same brass + primer for 2000fps COAL2.220"At the range if you don't like chasing brass ,I stand a cardboard box on end weighted down with a sandbag[lead shot]Cut a foolscap size shooting hole through the center and bang away. The cases eject upwards and forewards hitting the inside of the box and falling in a neat pile on the bench......Harold
