I bought a Bowtech Allegiance a few months ago. I shot it about 200 times and noticed that I was missing two arms on the lower silencer. I shot for a few more days and figured out why I lost the arms. I looked at the silencer and noticed that it was on the string. All of the other ones, which were in perfect condition, were on the serving. I moved the silencer on the serving and shot. The silencer has not lost any more arms after 700 shots. I think I may have solved the problem, or atleast my problem.

The reason you are not losing arms anymore is because you have made it less effective. The serving has nothing to do with it, except the silencer's position on the string. The closer you move them to the axles the less recoil they are absorbing.

The reason that they lose their arms is because the string travels forward past brace height... and the silencers slam into the cables.. which in turn tears off the arms.

Same thing happens w/ Simms string leeches.

I personally use golf ball sized cat whiskers tied very near the cams.. and I don't lose as much speed.. and the bow is dead quiet.

The closer your silencers are to the cam.. the faster the bow will shoot... the closer they are to the center of the string.. the better they silence the bow.. in theory. You have to try it for yourself and see what works best for you.

Or you can just install an STS and forget about string silencers

The string jacks from bowtech dont last long, thats all.
