Not true powderfinger...

The reason that they lose their arms is because the string travels forward past brace height... and the silencers slam into the cables.. which in turn tears off the arms.

Same thing happens w/ Simms string leeches.

I personally use golf ball sized cat whiskers tied very near the cams.. and I don't lose as much speed.. and the bow is dead quiet.

The closer your silencers are to the cam.. the faster the bow will shoot... the closer they are to the center of the string.. the better they silence the bow.. in theory. You have to try it for yourself and see what works best for you.
