5shot, ever done this?
With all the light v heavy arrow debate going on, in your extensive testing have you ever tried the same head style on a light and heavy arrow and done a penetration test? If so, I'd love to hear about your results.
If not, whatcha doing this afternoon

RE: 5shot, ever done this?
I actually did a while back. I used the Rocky ti-85 and ti-100 heads. they are the same size as it concerns cutting diameter and tip. Even length. The ferule on the 85 grn head is a little slimmer at the top though. I used the same arrows, but in the "heavy" ones I used weed eater line. That brought the total wieght up to around 510 grns. the light arrows came in at 400 grns. Both shot bullet holes at 3, 8, and 15 feet and grouped broadhead arrows very well. The heavy arrows did out penetrate the light ones. The differnce depends on what the material used was. I also did dome testing with the same arrows at 450 grns. I basicly found that in order to gain any real amount of penetration you need to add about 100 grns to your arrow. Anything less doesn't do a lot to help.
