With Montec having those G5 practice heads,,,there should be no reason to dull the blades on a target,,right,,wrong ??.They should fly the same,,so after your all tuned and sighted in,you can screw on the real heads and put them in the quiver, with NO worries on how they' ll perform.Am I right ?.

I agree with nub. One of the great things about the montecs is being able to shoot your actual heads, then just sharpening them up and going hunting. I personaly see the practice heads as a waste of money. I would just learn to sharpen the hunting heads and never worry about how they will hit.

Can they be brought back to a razor edge ?.Like a N.A.P. razor edge ??.
Nub is right.I don' t think I could do a good job sharpening them.
But,,,,did you get a look at those " practice' ' heads ?.They ARE the Montec G5,minus the sharp edege. As long as the weights are on,they should hit the same.

They " should" hit the same, but I won' t hunt with an arrow/broadhead combo until I know it will hit the same. You won' t be able to get them nap sharp, but with practice you should be able to get them sharp enough to shave hair.

I bought 6 G5' s and just resharpen them for hunting. If the " practice" heads were 1/2 price maybe I would have bought them. I do feel more confident with 4 broadhead arrows in the woods and two more in the truck in case I take a fall.
