Pup,
These are the best target bows.
1 Merlin Super Nova
2 Bowman Accu-Riser
3 Merlin Max 2000
4 Red Man
5 PSE Mach 11
6 Martin Scepter II, soon to be Scepter III
7 Green Horn
8 Hoyt ProTec
9 Hoyt Ultratec
You will not do better than this list.
I own the first 4 on the list.
I consider the Super Nova the best of the best.
It's very forgiving, dead accurate, and more beautiful than anything out there.

I agree with Sag , except he has them in the wrong order<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
The ultratec and protec should be at the top of the list<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Sag has got it correct, altho the Max 2000 should be in the second spot. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> All others deserve to be on the list also. Good shooting, pinwheel 12

Best, is a very opinionated thing. If any of these were clearly better than others, no one would shoot any of the others. Just about every manufacturer makes a bow that is suitable for target shooting. It's a matter of finding one that you like the feel of and then becoming good enough to compete.
