best target bow

Mathews Q2XL. Best target/tournement/hunting bow ever. Allthough, id wait till next year to buy one(if u decide to make the good decision and go to Mathews, :-) cause theyll more than likely put the new stuff on the XL or a bow like it. Even if they dont, ill still take the XL any day. Or the Legacy. Its a little shorter though but a great all around bow.

I feel its the bow that fits you the bes tthat you feel the most comfortable with. I have seen cheap junky bows shoot high scores and I have seen high dollor bows you can hit the side of a barn with. Me I shoot a Mathews Conquest II for 3D and a Q2XL for hunting.

A good target bow is different than what hunters and 3D guys may want.
1) Merlin Supernova
Then in no real order:
- Merlin Max2000
- Martin Septer2 (soon to be 3 as Sag pointed out)
- Bowman Accuriser
- Hoyt Protec
- Martin MV2
- Redman
- PSE Mach 11
There are many older model bows that are great too for target shooting.

Rob,
I knew, I probably left a couple out. Yes, MV-2 deserves to be on the list. Along with the Alternative Stealth Force mentioned.
You're also correct...
There are some grand target bows that are no longer available.
Hoyt Superstar is my favorite of the oldies.
Sag.

Now that everybody has listed their own personal choices I'll give my two cents worth...All the bows listed are without a doubt great shooting bows although there are some bows missing from the lists.
The best target bow in my opinion is the one that feels best in your hand, holds the steadiest for you and shoots the best for you. We ALL know it's the person behind the bow that makes the bow perform the way it does. Go to a Pro Shop and try em all if you can and oh by the way don't forget to try out a BowTech Pro 38, Pro 40, Generation 3.2 or even a Black Knight 2.... lol..I had to do it guys......
