Default Draw Length

I am currently living in the sticks, away from any bow shop, I need to know how to measure my draw length. I have always taken it for granted, but now that I want to order a new setup I am dumbfounded that I never payed more attention to this important number. Can someone help me?

I think the wingspan method is the most accurate for getting in the ball park. Extend both hands straight out, measure from finger tip to finger tip. Take this # and subtract 15 and divide by 2. This should get you close.

Example: I'm 6'2: My wingspan is 74" -15 = 59 divided by 2= My exact drawlength which is 29.5"

Hope this helps.

Swamp is close. This is the original wingspan method, and I believe meant for recurve shooting. I just measure my wingspan and divide by 2.5

Swamp really meant to stand against a wall with both arms out the the sides at shoulder height. Then measure wingspan.

Not to split hairs, but either way will yield results within a 1/4" of each other. If you round to the nearest inch and use the way I suggested, it will increase or deacrease by 1/2" increments which I prefer instead of fractions. BGfiser is correct however, in saying to stand against a wall.
