Blodg,

It's not a 3-D league but J's Bow Shop in Port Clinton is starting a 10 week paper target animal league in the next few weeks and signing up shooters now. If you or some buddies are interested drop me an e-mail and I'll get you the information.

People fail to realize the top $ MSRP also includes the price of anodized target models which usually cost from $50.00 to $100 more than the camo models. I think $750 is cheap compared to the $1250 M@thews is asking for the Apex.:D

LOL. Actually I would expect you to be better than me, you spend much, much more time shooting/tweaking than I do. Plus it has been 10 years since I have even shot a 3D event. I can hold my own as well, my best National finish was 15th out of 409 shooters at the 3rd leg of the IBO Nationals in Nelsonville Ohio (top 3%). Also placed top 7% (30th out of 400) at an ASA National in Kentucky. Getting the Allegiance this year has me pumped to start shooting again but my time will be limited because coaching my son's baseball team in the spring/summer is my first priority. I think I can probably shoot near as well now but my distance judging will need lots of work.

I won't be ready for the IX Center, I don't even have my Allegiance yet and don't have a place to practice over the winter. We WILL meet up at a shoot this summer, I am sure we can find one somewhere between us and I will show ya a thing or two.:D

EDIT
Oops forgot - Pat, thanks for the heads up on the league at J's. I was just there to order my Allegiance:) and he told me about it. I am not really interested in shooting paper animals, I would rather find a 5-spot league in the area if I was going to do an indoor league.

Am I correct in saying that you're the Troy that works in Clyde that I talked with via e-mail a few weeks ago? When did you come up to J's, Wednesday or Thursday?

There used to be a place in Bucyrus that shot indoor leagues but I don't know if they're still around or not. I know it's a bit of a drive but I just recently found out they have an indoor range at Ashland Bowmen too.

Yes you are correct. I could not make it on Wednesday. Too bad I missed you as I don't recall if I knew you from work. It worked out OK though, I probably spent near an hour shooting back-n-forth between the 60 and 70 lb. Allegiance. The bow shot as well as I had heard and the 60 lbs. just felt too light so I went with the 70 lb. bow. I was planning on ordering a 27" DL but the 28" bow he had felt pretty good so I went with 27 1/2". I am a little concerned with the draw length but Jay said if it doesn't feel right when the bow arrives that you guys will swap the cams to go 1/2 inch shorter.
