RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
http://www.bowtecharchery.com/whats_new/BinarySys.htm
Here's a link describing the "binary" cam system. It shows the small slot of draw stop adjustment. It's also interesting to note that full draw with no peg will = 100 % let off, but no recovery- the bow will be "locked" that way. Sounds like a cruel camp sabotage waiting to happen ;). |
RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
Buckeye,
I see you bought at JB's was there that dramatic of a difference in price vs Acorn? Or do you just have an "in" at JB's to get a discount. |
RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
JB is a great guy and a pleasure to deal with. He has better prices on most things than Acorn but I also have some "in" with JB. Bob over at Acorn is a good guy to though. Acorns shop is second to none though 40 yard indoor range Techno hunt and a large assortment of accessories.
I just personally like dealing with John at JB's the most. |
RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
Great looking setup! Looks like it will make a great hunting bow! I wish you the best with it this coming year!

RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
Buckeye, that is a nice looking setup!
How close is the actual draw length to advertised draw length? Is that the Trophy Taker on there? Is there enough travel on the slide to put a Zero Effect on there? Questions questions questions.....:D |
RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
Hey Bucky....picking mine up tomorrow. I'm putting a MZE on it and we'll see how it works, but I don't think it will be a problem to function correctly. What a sweet bow. I pulled it back for the first time today and it's like no other bow I've drawn. Hard to explain. In a good way.
My certificate stated: 27" (short draw) at 70.8lbs with 350gr was 298 fps. I think with my set up, which includes a lower weight arrow will give me slightly over 300 fps, which is what I was looking for. We'll see. Later and congrats. Kelly |
RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
For the guys shooting the new system, what kind of speed am I looking at out of one?
My setup is 376gr Gold Tip Xt 27" , 28" draw at 65lbs. Any rough guesses? |

RE: The Allegiance has arrived!
buckeyebuckhntr Blodg I set a Gold Tip Pro up at the specs mentioned earlier with 4 inch gateways and a 75 grain point. It put my arrow weight at 334.6 grains. Shooting 5.15 gpp (65 # 334.6 grains) yields 310-312fps through my chrono. Thats insane for a 29 inch DL and a loaded up string Yes that is insane. I have only ever entered a few ASA events but guys with the Allegiance are really going to have to drop the poundage or shoot heavy arrows to meet the 280 fps maximum. kcison My certificate stated: 27" (short draw) at 70.8lbs with 350gr was 298 fps. |
