How about a hybrid cam on a Mathews? Now that would peak my interest.
A 40 in. ATA bow with hybrid cams and a 7 inch brace height would be
about right. Guess I better wake up now, I must be dreaming. :D

I'm just having a rough time figuring out how some say they draw so smooth. The Outback I pulled back at the shop damn near tore my shouldar out of socket.

Either way, maybe the Cobra cam they are pushing this year may be a nicer cam. Thus far, nothing worth writing home about from Mathews this year.

Yes, nothing Earth shattering, but where do they really have to go? I'm no big Mathews fan, having had two that were both OK, but nothing special, IMO. Yet last year when I was in the mood to experiment, I looked at their lineup, and thought the Outback looked good, but was too short ATA, the LX looked good too, but too little brace, so the Switchback kinda fills that gap. If the bow does shoot as fast as advertised, it could be a little tough to pull, but that is yet to be determined. I still think they could sell an updated MQ1, 37-38" ATA, 7.5" brace, 310 IBO. Maybe a bow like that is too big for most guys today though. All of these new bows are interesting, but when I shoot my current bows, laying down the cash for a new one is tough to justify.;)

I think it definitely fills a niche for them but no 31 inch draw length and only a measly 7 inch brace....:). I am sure it is going to sell as well as the Outback did last year.

Yeah the brace is only 7" but it does have a 25.5" riser. That should be plenty forgiving. Anyone know what the riser length on the Allegiance is? Looks like a head to head match to me.

If I can't get my Patriot to quit curve balling my arrows there may just be a Switchback on the way to take it's place. I'm gonna tweak some more after season with a fixed rest and see if my problems disappear, if not.......

The Switchback has the specs I like, but the extra weight I don't like.
But at this point I'll take .34# over the headaches I've faced this last year.

OR, I will shoot a deer with slicktricks this year, like what I see and use them forever with my Patriot- they shoot great out of this rig (when hardly anything else will).

Switchback looks like a nice rig. I'm going to shoot the '05 Bowtech Patriot, '05 Bowtech Alegence and the '05 Mathews Switchback. Hopefully one really jumps out at me! I'm going to really check out the actual chrono speeds, and make sure draw lengths are the same.

I think it's amazing that some bow manufactors have such rabid support.People blinded by opinion and the need(just maybe) to fit in.In real world,it's getting harder to find a bad bow because theres just so many good bow manufactures out there.I can say this with some degree of confidence just by the bows I've owned and the bows I've shot.
Having said that,I'd still rather be a master of one-than a jack of all trades...Bob
