Default Creaking sound when drawing

I have a question for all out there. I recently had my Hoyt Xtec start creeking a little when I would draw the bow. I figured out that it was coming from the spacers on the outside of the top limb where the spit yoke hooks. I took the the clip off and pulled the spacers off and cleaned them thoroughly and put a little graphite on both of them. Problem solved.

My question is, is the graphite ok to use on them? I figured it was better than a drop of oil that would attract dirt and use it quite a bit for my cable slide and such.

opinions?

muzzy I did the exact same thing on my razortec, works great. There was a guy on archerytalk that recommended using graphite because the excess will fall out rather quickly and the stuff being used will for for a very long time.
