I shoot a Pearson 440 Quad (I know,,,It aint no Mathews, Bowtech, or Hoyt, but it works well for me) anyway, lately i have been hearing a slapping sound only to find out my Sims Limbsavers were tearing at the base of the mushroom....They are a year old so I replaced them this past weekend....I was shooting last night and was hearing that same noise and checked the limbsavers and they were tearing again....A few shots later the top one broke off and the bottom one is not to far behind....What in the H@*l is going on.....Any suggestions wood b greatly appreciated.....

The 440 Quad is a nice bow. I had one that I was kinda fond of. In fact, I shot my 3 all time best 3D scores with that bow. Circumstances forced me to sell it, but it was no fault of the bow. Don't you dare apologize because it's not a Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, et al! It's a Pearson and a darn good bow!
Anyway, with the set of LimbSavers that lasted a year, you've got to remember that they do wear out and have to be replaced. With the set that didn't make it a week, I'd almost bet you've got them mounted too close to the cables and they're getting slammed by the cables when you shoot.
