I ordered a bitzenberger fletcher the other day with a right helical clamp. I also ordered an extra straight clamp. Question: Do I have to order a different nock receiver to use the straight clamp, Or will the nock receiver with the helical clamp work with the straight clamp? If so, why do they offer different nock receivers? ~DREW~

Drew,
I know what you are talking about, but since I use adjustable nocks, it really doesn't matter much. The only time I change the receiver is when I make four fletch arrows.

If you have turnable nocks it won't matter. They offer different nock receivers for arrows the have glue-on nocks and their position is fixed.
BUT- if you end up moving you nock position after fletching is complete you'll need to realign the nock-to-fletch position of the bitz if you need to replace a damaged fletching later on. Not a big deal....

When you order the bitzenberger, do you need to specify nocked feather down to get the right receiver? Or does it only come with nocked feather out, and then you have to order the other receiver to get nocked feather down.

The Bitz, as I understand, comes standard with the cock feather out nock receiver. It is extra $ if you want the cock feather down "Model TM" nock receiver.
As the others have said, if you don't have glue on nocks, then you don't need the cock feather down receiver. When you get the Bitz, you will understand the nock receiver mystery as they explain it in the instructions. Have fun!
